Narrative

The site was changed again since arsenic in 2 private tubewells was found to be below 10 ppb at the earlier site. The final site of PW274 is in Metepara village of Hingara panchayat of Chakdah block of Nadia. the land is donated by Nikhil Biswas.

This new site #PW274 is in the Goyalbari village under the jurisdiction of the Deuli panchayat of Chakdah block in the district of Nadia. Pilot test was not done here because sand layer is found at 5-6 feet assessed from the construction of unmetalled road currently going on in this area.The land is donated by Sukumar Biswas.

This site #PW274. is in the Gajitala village under the jurisdiction of the Deuli panchayat of Chakda block in the district of North 24 Parganas.. The arsenic concentration of the private tubewell of Ganesh Ray was found to be 0.1 mg/L that was tested on 3 December 2012 with the VisuPAsS Visual Portable Arsenic testing field kit. The construction is supposed to start in mid February 2013.
