the completed 30 toilets has been visited by th efield team every day as per the instruction from banglore office . the doors were assigned one door per toilet and few individual families have taken two door as they built the bathrooms also without our consent. the issue came to notice by banglore staff visit to the project.
there is escalation of the cost of the door , sanitary ware and cement ,Msand bricks to 30% apart from transporatation and unloading loading cost due to GST and sCGST.
The ecosan cost included s raise in tax and labour cost.
Two ecosan at the doddaupparalli project areas school premises is coming up.
Peerwaterexchange will have seprate webpage for the ecosan to pool the learnings and observations, work of AAfoundation projects.

On 9th board members of AAfoundation made visit to the project area observed and visited every house hold at angashettyhalli , there was many feed back on the rainwater harvesting strututre because few households(3-4) have not taken interest to collect maximum water they were happy to interact with the community and found all the toilets were in usage.
outcome of the visit was.....
No individual household rainwater harvesting will be a focused in next year through organisation.
increase awarness programmes on harvesting rain and tecqnics.
community based programmes will be focused to reach more beneficieries and to increase awarness with the local grampanchayat.
Also discussion took place on increasing groundwater table techniques, to increase aforestation programme in the area.

On last week of june two field visits were made to monitor the work progress as well the beneficiary numbers increase to five more numbers.
Totally 30 toilets will be completed in doddaupparalli.There is a two weeks delay in brick supply due to increased demand and GST effect.
All the materials cost has been increased. suppliers showed no interest for negotiations.The cost of bricks has been increased to 33% where organisation finally have to buy to complete the work.The increased materials cost was discussed in board meeting held on Saturday 1st July 2017.Board members decided to complete toilet constructions. The increased cost will be met by cutting down other expenditure involved in the project. and future proposal will be prepared by adding tax charges.
Numbering and painting work is in progress, the third phase 7 toilet foundation work completed and waiting for bricks to deliver.

May month has been very hectic for us.As the field staff anusuya's absence have hampered the community meetings and construction work. she has some personal reason due to regular visit and, monitoring was stopped from her side. which caused loss of msand load, brick and stones for organisation.
on the above issue we had to visit and conduct series of meetings with community on thier role in securing the materials, grampanchayat which was only questioneing us was finally asked one of them to visit weekly and motivate community to complete construction.
Pwx was also exercising the new App for field work monitoring which was check by Prahlad and myself thrice in last week in cordination with deepa and Rajesh.
few changes has been made for smooth funtioning of the project.selcetion of local village community representative to monitor the work. the person Munaiyya will regularly update and monitor distribution of materials t community members.
Anususya will support for volunteers programme and followup of usage of toilets and rainwater harvesting and programmes under schools and anganwadi's
prahlad I M sochara representative will conduct CLT( community training) as and when required in batches and will reprt to Aa foundation.
Aa foundation will intern updates report to donors.
At present six toilets are in completing stage , another set of 11 household has been selected and CLT traing has been condcuted , new person Munaiyya has been oreinted by prahlad and varalakshmi.

The field workers are finding difficult to conduct field work due to increased tempreture in the area. The community are strugging to dig the pits due to harden soil, and water is enough for their dialy use,and for construction they are finding difficult.
considering the above aspects aa foundation have decided to give leave for field workers from May10th to june first. and work will resume after june 2nd staff meeting .
may month will be dedicated to documentation,and plannings and department meetings.
before holidays another 8 toilets of second phase will be completed and acocunts will be selttled for the month.
Also Aafoundation is announcing job applications for project coordinator and field workers at malur areas through local news papers.Recruitments wil be done in from june 2017.

First ten toilets with one double pit system has been completed in doddaupparalli village the work progress very slow than expected due to mason problem. to three masons who are in village had collected money form the community and didn't attempted to complete the work , later after two three weeks of our effort we have to hire two mason from the neighboring village and completed plastering the work, the other reason also the toilets are 6/5 size which took more time to complete.
The village masons earns more in cutting eucalyptus tree than in construction work and they are less interest in doing mason work.the second phase families are identified and meeting has been completed 6 house hold have started the work and another four will start from 10th April. we are identified one mason who will train and take help from individual l families to complete the construction.

on 17th Feb meeting was conducted with staff and suppliers. As the bricks are in demand in summer season, we had to book for two more phases.

suppliers have raised the cost the vat charges on each bill is 14.5% and transportation cost have increased to 10% percent due to distance from malur town.The materials will be supplied from today 6th Feb 2017.
Resource person prahalad to visit field along with myself on Friday to monitor the construction, guiding double pit system.

The survey of individual house hold information has been completed.
Two community meetings at the government school premises had taken place.
The training programme has been postponed to Friday 20th January as the community youths and men had been to 15 days of vocations and not available .
The women folk are given information about the programme and to prioritization the locations for the construction of toilets at the house hold premises.
The location maps has been collected from different sources and will be uploaded to project information.Staff Anusuya will be a community organiser who will coordinate the field activities.
A health sessions will be carried out every month by the experience person under the guidance of Dr VedhaZacharia .Varalakshmi myself will guide the community , staff and coordinate between funder, peer-water and all the work related to the project.

How it Works
Every field note helps building a history of activity at the project site. Every visit should result in a field note, including visits by peers and 3rd parties. Visits can be before implementation, during implementation and during operational state.
If the field note is during the operating phase of the project, then PWX considers the note as a verification note. Verification can show if the current operating state is different from that in the 'final' report and thus draw attention and resources to resolve issues.
Soon PWX AnalytiX will track the number of projects verified and combine that with the amount of time elapsed since 'completion', to summarize monitoring efforts and the sustainability of projects.
